Noh
Noh is a musical and dance drama performed in many pieces (story dramas) to the accompaniment of Utai (songs and lines) and Hayashi (musical instrument), and is characterized by performers wearing masks called Noh masks.
The characters are not only human but also non-earthly things such as gods, ogres, monsters and ghosts.
The performers express their emotions with simple and stylized movements.

1976 Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture
1980 Teaching by Yutaka Takahashi (Father of Norimasa) began
1998 Graduated from Tokyo University of Arts, Traditional Japanese Music, and then apprenticed to Fusao Hosho, the 18th head of the Hosho School
2007 Became independent with the permission of Fusateru Hosho, the 19th head of the Hosho School, and started own group of fellow pupils called “Kenho Kai”
2013 Served as part-time Research Assistant, Tokyo University of Arts, Department of Music (till 2015 May)
